Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Still have a questions?
General

Are all courses 100% online.
Yes — every course and capstone in the Academy is delivered fully online (recorded lessons + scheduled live sessions, labs and mentor office hours).

Who are these courses for?
Professionals and graduates aiming to enter or upskill in renewable energy functions — traders, finance and investment professionals, data scientists, project engineers, sustainability leads and corporate procurement teams.

How long are the courses?
Each course is long-format (10–26 weeks) and designed to be deep and career-oriented. Exact duration is shown on each course card.

How are the tracks structured?
Each track has three progressive levels: Foundations → Practitioner → Expert. Learners can take single courses or complete a full track to earn a Specialist diploma.

Do the courses overlap?
No — the curriculum is intentionally non-duplicative. Each course has distinct outcomes and a unique capstone so learners level up without repeating content.

Are course materials downloadable?
Lecture slides, datasets for lab work, code notebooks and assignment templates are downloadable for offline study. Video lectures remain streamed.

Are there prerequisites?
Foundations courses require no specialist experience. Practitioner and Expert level courses list recommended prerequisites (e.g., basic finance, Python, or a prior course in the same track). Check each course page for specifics.

Is there an application process?
Most courses are open-enrol. Select Expert-level or mentor-led cohorts may request a brief skill check or CV to ensure cohort suitability.

What is the teaching format?
A mix of recorded lessons, live instructor sessions, hands-on labs, weekly quizzes, peer discussion groups and a mentor-reviewed capstone project.

Will I get mentor support?
Yes — practitioner and expert courses include scheduled mentor hours and instructor office hours. Premium mentorship packages are available for capstone guidance.

How much time should I commit weekly?
Expect ~6–10 hours/week for Foundations, ~8–12 hours/week for Practitioner, and ~10–15+ hours/week for Expert courses (includes live sessions and project work).

What tools or languages do I need?
Typical courses use Python (pandas, scikit-learn), Power BI/Tableau, Excel financial modelling, and cloud platforms for capstones. Specific tool lists are provided per course.

Are any paid software licenses required?
No mandatory paid licenses are required for core learning. Optional modules may demonstrate paid platforms; free/community alternatives are provided wherever possible.
